Congratulations to Julianne Malis and Terrell Hudson for signing their National Letters of Intent. Julianne signed with Phoenix College and will play softball and Terrell signed with the University of New Mexico and will play baseball.
In his final race for the Bulldog Cross Country Team, Senior John Jacklin finished 56 out of 221 runners in the Division II State Championship Saturday Morning at Cave Creek Golf Course. Overall he was 134 out of 780 in all four divisions. This Saturday, the 17th he will compete in the Nike Southwest Region
On Thursday November 1st the Bulldogs ran in the Sectional Finals as Rose Mofford Sports Complex. Senior John Jacklin became the first Bulldog since 2015 to qualify for the State Championship Meet by finishing 21st in the Section. On Saturday November 17 John Jacklin closed out his Bulldog Cross Country career when he ran in the NXR Southwest Regional Championship in Casa Grande. Monday night at Mt Ridge High School, seniors John Jacklin, Kylie Anderson, Johanna McCombs and junior Kenny Neil were recognized as the Bulldog representatives on the DVUSD All District Cross Country teams. It was the 2nd year that Jacklin was chosen to the team and the first for Anderson McCombs and Neil.
